May 2019 Perth ExchangeNow Meetup

Please join us for our May Perth ExchangeNow meetup on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 between 4pm and 6.30pm. We will be hosting three presentations, a group discussion, and a networking session.

We will have a selection of beer, wine & soft-drinks available, as well as a selection of snacks. We would like to thank Accelerate IT Solutions for hosting this event and providing the catering.

BHP’s ServiceNow Journey and tips for successful ServiceNow implementation by Dan Zisis

BHP, a leading global mining company, selected ServiceNow IT Service Management as its new service management platform.
Using ServiceNow’s ITSM platform, and through BHP’s digital transformation project, employees are now able to self serve IT helpdesk requests, raise incidents without having to pick up the phone. After just a few months, substantial savings in man hours have been made across incident resolution times, reporting and implementing change requests, resulting in cost savings and increased staff efficiency.
Dan will present BHP’s ServiceNow journey from its inception and the lessons learnt for the successful implementation.

Mobile Studio, released in the Madrid release of ServiceNow, is a powerful application that allows you to create engaging, interactive and native mobile applications that can leverage existing data sources using codeless configuration.
In this session, Graham will provide a brief overview of how to get started with Mobile Studio and present a few of the benefits of using Mobile Studio.


What I learned at Knowledge19 by Dan Spada
Knowledge is the annual ServiceNow conference where ServiceNow professionals come together from right around the globe to discuss all things ServiceNow.
This year the conference is being held in Las Vegas, and the theme is ‘Take work to the next level’. There will be over 500 labs, breakouts and keynotes that will provide product information, and customer experiences & successes.
Dan will host an interactive discussion on the key learnings and takeaways from the conference.


Group Discussion: Tips, Tricks & Lessons Learnt using Agile to Implement ServiceNow by Paul Morris
Agile Development has now replaced Waterfall as the Software Implementation Methodology of choice in the software industry. This has flowed through into ServiceNow, with the ServiceNow Adaptive Implementation Framework (SAIF) recommending the use of Agile SCRUM to implement ServiceNow. In this discussion, I will share my tips and tricks for using Agile methodologies to implement ServiceNow, based on recent experience leading an implementation across IT & non-IT business areas and open the floor to discuss and share experiences and lessons learnt.
